
Sassy learns a lot - some might argue most - of her "schooling" during freeplay time. Freeplay is just as it sounds, free. She is free to use the materials at her disposal to create or imagine or build or just play.
This week she chose to make clothespin dolls after we made them as a group project with our homeschooling co-op. She also wrote a book. Thing is, she doesn't really write yet, not in her own sentences and paragraphs anyway, so she drew pictures and made lines for words. It was very cute. The best parts were her own binding (using pipe cleaners) and her author bio on the back.
